In application of Law 4442/07-12-2016 (Government Gazette A’ 230), of the K.Y.A. under No.16228/18-05-2017 (Government Gazette B’ 1723) and of the circular of the Ministry of Economy and Development under No.F15/ok.62588/754/02-06-2017, the economic activity concerning the shops of sanitary interest of article 80 of Law 3463/2006 (A’ 114) (except entertainment centres), theatres and cinemas are subject to a notification regime and the operator of the economic activity is exempted from the obligation to obtain a licence

The entrepreneur notifies (there is no longer the term Operating License), his activity to the Municipality through the website www.notifybusiness.gov.gr “… is a necessary condition for the legal exercise of the activity” (Article 6, paragraph 3 of Law 4442/2016).Also, he has the obligation to meet all the conditions of the current urban planning, health and fire legislation, while it is checked afterwards for whether it actually meets them. If they do not, fines are imposed. The entity wishing to submit a notification is registered in the system by means of the codes used to enter the system of the General Secretariat for Information Systems (taxisNet).

In the notification of the opening of the business, the type of establishment is indicated, i.e. the category in which it is included, subcategory, if any, and the activity of the business in parentheses (article 2 No.Y1g/G.P.G.P./Oik.47829/ 23 June 2017 F.E.K.2161/2017 vol.b’).

Prior to the submission of the notification by the interested party, it is necessary to obtain the certificate of paragraph 2 of article 28 of Law 4442/2016, which will ensure that the store can be established at the specific location. For this purpose, the application and the supporting documents provided for in Article 2 of KYA 16228/2017 (Government Gazette 1723/18.5.17, vol. B) are submitted to the Local Development Department of 1 Republic Street, P.C. 20131 KORINTHOS.

The person concerned cannot legally start operating the shop if he/she has not paid the relevant fee, has overdue debts to the Municipality and does not have the establishment certificate of the paragraph. 2 of Article 28 of Law 28 of the Municipality. 4442/2016 (Article 2 of No. No. 16228/17-5-2017 (No. Government Gazette 1723 issue B).

Special K.Y.E. in accordance with the new Health Decree notified to the Municipality (No.Y1g/G.P.G.P./Oik.47829/ 23 June 2017 F.E.K.2161/2017 vol. b’)

1.Retail businesses:

Food hypermarkets, grocery stores, butchers, greengrocers, fishmongers, liquor stores, nut and confectionery shops, bread shops, convenience stores, poultry shops, egg shops, Frozen food shops, butcher’s and cheese shops, coffee shops, oil and fat shops, confectionery shops/dairy shops/boulangeries with a preparation plant for own use, the sale of food and drink in convenience stores, the sale of food and drink, the operation of food and drink vending machines, the sale of all types of coffee to passing customers by bread and confectionery outlets of bakeries, pure bread and coffee shops and the sale of standardised food and drink in shops.

2.Mass Catering Businesses:

Fully processed (full meal): restaurants, grill shops, fish taverns, taverns, snack bars, ouzerias, beer houses, taverns, traditional cafes with a preparation plant, cafeterias, pizzerias, confectioneries with a preparation plant.

Partially processed (snack): refreshment bars, boulangeries, dairies, doughnut shops (for seated customers), school canteens, canteens, ice cream shops, cafes, cafeterias, internet cafes, bars, open bars.

3.Health service businesses:

Hairdressing salons, hand and foot care shops, tattoo studios, funeral homes, etc.

Playgrounds, internet services and entertainment centres are not subject to the notification regime.
