Nikos Stavrelis was born in Corinth, in the district of Agia Anna and Settlement, where he still lives with his family.

He is a graduate of the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Law of the University of Athens.

He is married to Chrysoula Papadopoulou, with whom he has three daughters, two graduates in Civil Engineering and one in Pharmacy.

He served for 11 years in the Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora (1984-1995), leaving an important and universally recognized work in the organization of the Municipality at levels unprecedented in Greece, thus contributing to becoming a model Municipality, with Municipal Enterprises in Tourism, in Culture, with the establishment of the first Municipal Joint Stock Company, on the basis of which the Casino operated and much more.

He worked at Emporiki Bank and ALPHA BANK for 19 years as an Inspector in Internal Audit, reaching the position of Deputy Director of the Special Audits and Fraud Prevention Department.

He was President of the Employees’ Association of the Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora for 4 years (1992-1995)

As an elected official in the local government of Corinth, he has been actively involved for 24 years, starting in 1998, participating in the municipal elections with the combination of Mr. Spiritual.

Since 2002 until today, he has been continuously and uninterruptedly elected as a councillor of the Municipality of Corinth, always in the first positions.

Nikos Stavrelis served as:

  • President of the Municipal Council for eight years (2007-2014), with a recognized work by all municipal factions and all bodies and associations.
  • Press representative of the Municipality of Corinth for 4 years (2014-2017)
  • Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Center for two years (2016-2017)
  • President of the Municipal Corporation of Corinth Real Estate Development (DAEKAAP) (2009-2011)
  • Chairman of the School Committees of the 8th Primary School in
    Agia Anna
     and Neapolis Batharistras.
