The philosophy of the Municipality of Corinth in the field of Sanitation is focused on ensuring a sustainable and healthy environment. The Sanitation Service as the main project implementer is utilizing key components such as recycling as a priority of our efforts. Respect for the environment is nowadays a reference point and a benchmark for the culture of every society. Therefore, respect for the value of the environment, as a result of the need to protect it, must coexist harmoniously with the need to build and use the land. In this way we can design a city that is vibrant, functional, pleasant and of course green, comparable to the European family. The adoption of positive environmental behaviour, which should be everyone’s responsibility, is of course the responsibility of the citizen. Separating waste and depositing it in the right bins, taking care of the cleanliness around the houses after construction, not throwing garbage on the street and many similar actions improve the image of our city, prevent odour, contribute to collective hygiene and rid the environment of these materials. However, the effort for a clean and environmentally friendly city is ongoing. The cleaning management works tirelessly to provide its services but nothing is done without the essential contribution of the citizen.
