The Municipal Gallery of Corinth is part of the Municipality of Corinth’s Cultural, Sports, and Environmental Centre and was founded in September 1998.The Gallery is housed in a privately owned building of the Municipality and hosts on its two floors three permanent collections with more than 250 works dating back to 1567.

The works have been acquired through donations from Sotirios Pilarinos, painter-conservator of works of art, Nikolaos Theodorou, a collector, and Theodoros Markellos, painter (all of them from Corinth). Among them we can distinguish works by renowned Greek artists (such as Roilos, Spyropoulos, Stathopoulos, Fasianos) and leading European artists. In addition to the permanent collections, the Gallery hosts temporary exhibitions by contemporary Greek and foreign artists…

Every day, the Gallery carries educational and training activities and seminars for many categories of the public (such as students of all ages, teachers, artists, art lovers, disabled people, Roma), while in the past it has carried out outreach and education programs for people lacking access to the Gallery (outreach policy).
